DC lottery contract is the subject of a federal probe with numerous officials under scrutiny
A federal grand jury is investigating the awarding of the $38 million contract to run the District of Columbia lottery, a process that raises further questions about corruption in a city government already beleaguered by criminal prosecutions.

Kickback probe launched at the Texas Lottery
The Travis County district attorney's office confirmed Tuesday that it has launched a criminal investigation after an allegation that someone affiliated with the Texas Lottery Commission may have solicited kickbacks from a financial planning firm that helped some Lotto Texas winners manage their money.
Assistant District Attorney Greg Cantwell of the office's public integrity unit said he could not divulge the details of the inquiry but said that the lottery commission was cooperating.

Lottery manager resigns after charged with bribery
A Florida Lottery regional manager has resigned, just days after he was charged with seeking kickbacks from a Starke convenience store owner.
Donnie Hamilton, manager of the 12-county lottery district headquartered in Gainesville, resigned Monday. Fla. Lottery official arrested on bribery charges
A Florida Lottery district manager was arrested on bribery charges Friday after allegedly accepting payment from a Gainesville store owner he thought was seeking preferential treatment in getting a lottery ticket machine.
